Luxor Hotel Las Vegas NV Users’ Reviews, Feedback and Summary
Rating: 6.7 / 10

Actual Feedback:

“The Luxor used to be THE place, but clearly the MGM group are letting the Luxor Hotel slip a bit while they invest in other properties.

I stayed in the pyramid and the room was nice, no issues. The shower was awesome, tons of pressure and room for two people.

I got a spa package and that was great – went every day. They have a men’s only side with hot tub with a water fall, then a cold water plunge that you have to try, and also a sauna and steam room. Go early in the morning because paying once gets you in for the whole day.

The pool was disappointing. It opened at 9 and closed at 5, so those attending a business conference like me could not get to use the pool at all.

The inside of the hotel seem neglected and are shabby. I guess it was good for the price and considering the package, but if you want a pool and a nice property, this is not for you.”

Partial Luxor Hotel Review from Oct 2008 on Trip Advisor

“We loved the Luxor!

Rates to stay were great, def worth the money.

Great looking hotel, and in a great location right at beginning/end of strip!

We got upgraded to a tower room even though had booked a pyramid room! The room was very quiet and huge – so was the bathroom, with both shower and a bath.

Loved the Pool at the Luxor Hotel – plenty of sun beds available, a young crowd each day which was excellent, we could connect with people.

The Buffet was good, so much selection and tasted great.

The casino was fantastic always – such a great vibe.

Would I go back to the Luxor Hotel? Definitely!”
One of the many Luxor Hotel Reviews from Oct 2008 on TripAdvisor forum

“tower rooms are quieter…

We liked the location of the Luxor – it is at the end of the strip but ideal for visiting the Excalibur (fun cheap gambling), the New York, Mandalay Bay and MGM Hotels & Casinos.

The shops at the Luxor are mostly rubbish, and the dining options are not up to par of the other casino hotels (in terms of price, the New York has far superior dining).

Overall, the Luxor is OK for weekday breaks – it is cheap Sunday to Thursday, but very overpriced on the weekends.”

Our Research on the Luxor Hotel Casino Las Vegas NV Suggests:

A great location, with unique visuals and an interesting atmosphere. Guests that want perfect attention to detail in every aspect of their stay, can be disappointed.

Limitations:

  • Constant construction
  • A little past its prime

Verdict:

If you’re not too obsessed with everything being perfect, and you want a premium hotel (and you hunt for a deal) and still like to stay on the strip, the Luxor may be right for you.

Luxor hotel is the place to stay, Watch out for the security thieves at the club LAX. Those bastards will take your watch and chains and then cover for each other. I suggest your own added security to protect you and your group from those pigs. next time I’ll be ready. Thanks DJ AM, glad your back buddy.

I stayed at The Luxor over the weekend .Before entering the room all the doors nearby were filthy. We walked in, the towel in the bathroom was covered in stained yellow lines. The door to the left was cover in what look like dripped soda, the grouding by the spa was stained a burnt orange color and there were a few red marks on the wall by the sofas. The room was also supposed to be non-smoking yet it had a bad odor of old cigarette smoke. The showers water pressure wasnt even strong enough for the water to shoot straight out of the shower head.It looked somewhat like limp water!? The security officers are full of themselves and seem to harrase anyone who is not conservative. If you are going to vegas to have fun and want a room that looks like you paid good money for it, you do not want to go to the Luxor. The pictures are not what the room looks like. There are no decorations besides the print on the closet doors and the purple couches.Lets just say we left to go the inn by In-N-OUT and there was no oder ,the blankets were quilted ,the shower pressure was awesome and the service was great.

WE were in Vegas on Valentine’s day.
Room in Luxor we have got, was not cleaned at all. I found some stuff from previous visitors on the floor.
We needed special request for cleaning a bathtube.

The complaint was with the show, Believe. We were treated very poorly by staff. I was very upset and wanted my money back after spending $165.00 a person on front row seats. We were treated like complete garbage by Criss Angel and his staff. NEVER AGAIN. Now I KNOW HOW PEREZ HILTON FEELS.

How do I make a complaint with the Luxor Hotel? I have sent several e-mails and they have all been ignored.

Having just stayed at the Luxor, I will tell you that I won’t stay there again. The room was average, and the casino was not easy to navigate. Also, gaming NEVER went below a $15 minimum and there weren’t alot of table games going on. Lastly, the unqualified staff at the ‘players club’ had no idea what they were offering. It was a joke – I was told that I could only use the card at the Luxor and only on slots…!!!! Ridiculous. And when I did ask other employees, they all had different answers. Too bad that other people will stay at this below-average hotel.

I just stayed at the Luxor hotel and it was the worst experience I’ve had in Vegas. I was there to celebrate my birthday over the weekend with friends and the hotel from start to finish was less than average. I was in a Non-Smoking room that smelled like smoke. The blow dryer is out dated and over heated to the point that it accidentally slipped from my hand and grazed my thigh. It left me with a burn mark with the imprint of the hot coils. After complaining, a report was filed. I spoke to Risk Management and they basically told me it was my fault because the dryer slipped from my hand. The staff in Registration seemed rude and callous. There was no sincerity or customer service. I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN and will seek legal action.

WORST HOTEL I HAVE EVER STAYED IN!! Toilet Made high Pitch sound after using it every time, could hear other shower and toilets running at all hours of the night, bed had springs popping out, NO HOT WATER!! Waited over 30 mins to check in, bathroom light sometimes worked and the elevators DO NOT GET ME STARTED!!
IT THE BATES MOTEL OF THE STRIP AND I WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!!

  • 9 Paula // Feb 22, 2010 at 3:40 pm

We stayed at the Luxor on Feb 19 & 20th and it was the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in.. The first room wasn’t even up to a bad motel 6 experience. It was dirty and the carpet looked like you would be afraid to walk on it with bare feet. They moved us to a different room and it was almost as bad. This is what we encountered: The bathroom was dirty, the cabinet front was off and you could see that there was dirt and trash under the sink area, the shower door was broken so you couldn’t close it and water got all over the floor, the lamp nexted to the bed was duct taped together, there were ants in the bathroom, the bed was broken and there were springs sticking out on one side of the bed…. When we compainted to the hotel front desk, they told us we were welcome to find a different hotel and they wouldn’t charge us a cancellation fee. Isn’t that nice???? I will never ever stay with the LUXOR again… It was an terrible experience. overpriced and dirty
