“For those, like me, who pay for their own travel expenses and want a clean, safe, reasonable hotel room then the Fremont Hotel In Las Vegas is a good bet.

The room we were given was next to “the Fremont experience” light and sound show side for the hotel.

We asked for another room (I was concerned about the noise from the show) the front desk said the light show finished at midnight but they still gave us a new room.”

“When I booked my room I got a great rate. A week later, the rate had dropped, I emailed and they matched the new rate.

Check-in was friendly, painless and fast.

The room was small but adequate and so was the bathroom. It was all clean, and the bed was soft and comfortable.

The old-fashioned air conditioner cooled the room just right.

There was a wall safe too small for most laptops, an iron and ironing board, a hair drier, but no coffee maker.

You’d never call Fremont Hotel Casino a luxury hotel, but it’s adequate in every way and a great value.”

As long as you realize what you are getting (not a premier luxury Vegas resort) is a basic place to sleep in downtown Las Vegas away from the strip, then there shouldn’t be any disappointments with the Fremont.

Limitations:

• no frills, for example you must use the pool at the California Hotel nearby.

Verdict:

The Fremont Hotel Las Vegas is a great place for low cost, non strip accommodation. If you’re on a budget, or an experienced Vegas visitor who doesn’t need to be in the center of the action to have a great time.
